The Crash Pad is the only LEED Platinum Certified hostel in the United States and is one of only four buildings with the distinction in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Construction and operation techniques using reclaimed and renewable resources helped the owners to maximize energy efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

The Crash Pad welcomes all travelers, but they have a special focus on establishing Chattanooga as an ultimate outdoor destination. This has led to the dream of opening an uncommon hostel, providing a base camp and community hub for those who come to play in the mountains and rivers that surround the city. The hostel operates with a number of sustainable strategies while combining the affordability and camaraderie of a traditional hostel with the charm and cleanliness of a boutique hotel.

Featured in publications such as Money, Southern Living, Men’s Journal, Travel & Leisure and more, Coast 2 Coast is proud to have provided the Google See Inside tour for this award-winning property.
