Laser Scanning Cedars Sinai Teaching Hospital

In preparation for hospital renovations, Coast 2 Coast was hired by Lee, Burkhart, Liu, Inc. to conduct existing condition surveys for above ceiling plans. In such a precise environment, the architects did not want to rely on outdated plans or encounter issues in searching for missing documentation. The compilation of these measurements allowed the team to confidently move forward in the first phase of the renovation project. Coast 2 Coast returned to the teaching hospital in 2016 to provide survey services for the Facilities Design and Planning Team, producing point clouds and Revit Models for the interior of the entire 4th Floor and approximately 3,200 square feet of area on the 5th Floor in surgical areas. FARO Focus3D high definition laser scanners were used to produce the point cloud data.
