In 2016, The Omni Homestead Resort celebrated 250 years as America’s first resort. Initially built in 1766, the resort has seen many changes – it was rebuilt after a fire in 1901, a significant expansion took place in the 1920s, and remodeling completed in 2001. In 2019, Coast 2 Coast partnered with the design team to help as plans began for a restoration of the resort.

Laser scanning of the interior and exterior of both the main resort and the interior was used to capture 700,000 square feet included in the main building, the casino and the 483 guestrooms.  Based on the scan data, Coast 2 Coast captured the existing conditions of the property in a 3D Revit Model.  The team was also provided with visualization tools that included an online view of the point cloud and photographic documentation.
